The term “in mould labelling” is directly derived from the technique where a pre-printed polypropylene (PP) label is placed in a mould. This mould has the shape of the end product, e.g. the shape of a butter tub. Then the molten PP is injected into the mould and fuses with the label, and while curing, takes the shape of the mould. This result is where the label and packaging become one.
At SANPAC Africa limited we can offer IML packaging using the latest European machinery ensuring precision moulding with high quality labels sourced locally or from overseas. We can help develop moulds specific to your needs that are IML ready and we shall ensure our robots can handle the labels.
