RIGID PLASTIC PACKAGING OVERVIEW
Today the main activities of SANPAC Africa limited are the manufacturing of rigid plastic packaging by the processes of injection & blow moulding and extrusion.
Injection Moulding
Injection moulding is a manufacturing process for producing parts by injecting molten material into a mould. Injection moulding can be performed with a host of different plastic raw materials. Material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed (using a helical shaped screw), and injected into a mould cavity, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity.
At SANPAC Africa limited we have a wealth of experience in injection moulding with support from European machinery manufacturers and mould makers. This experience enables us to provide customers with light weight, but strong packaging. Custom designed packaging is our forte and we can offer many options of decoration, too, to make your package stand out in terms of visibility and practical use.
With our wealth of knowledge on materials we can offer the best material choice to suit your needs and application. We work with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and most grades of Polypropylene (PP). All our materials and plastic colours (masterbatches) are of food grade ensuring that whatever your product comes into contact is guaranteed to be safe from any contamination.
In addition to this we can provide a design to accommodate induction seal or heat seal compatible containers to achieve safety of your products, giving you a “COMPLETE PACKAGING SOLUTION”
Blow Moulding
The blow moulding process begins with melting down the plastic and forming it into a parison. The parison is a tube-like piece of molten plastic with a hole in one end through which compressed air can pass. The parison is then clamped into a mould and air is blown into it. The air pressure then pushes the plastic out to match the mould. Once the plastic has cooled and hardened the mould opens up and the part is ejected. We can offer multi cavity blow moulding with auto de-flash (automatic trimming of extra plastic at the top and bottom of the moulded article).
We work with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), most grades of Polypropylene (PP) and Polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
At SANPAC Africa limited we can help develop a custom designed packaging and can offer many options of decoration, too, to make your package stand out in terms of visibility and practical use.
In addition to this we can provide a design to accommodate induction seal or heat seal compatible containers to achieve safety of your products, giving you a “COMPLETE PACKAGING SOLUTION”
With a manufacturing base in Mombasa, SANPAC Africa limited can offer all the benefits and services of blow moulding in Mombasa.
